Alexey Pokashnikov: “Development of training centers in Russia is extremely important”
Representatives of skiing federations of Russia visited the Murmansk region.
The aim of the visit was to find new places for pre-season preparation of Russian national teams inside the native country. We remind that a meeting on this issue was held recently on an initiative of the Russian Ski Association. The leaders of alpine skiing federations of Russia decided to make steps to develop training centers for summer and autumn training preparation. In the Murmansk region authorities visited Kirovsk and Polyarniye Zori.
Alexey Pokashnikov, the Head Coach of the Russian national freestyle skiing team, Alexey Melnikov, the President and the executive director of the Alpine skiing federation of Russia, and Denis Tikhomirov, the President of the Snowboard federation of Russia, visited the spot.
We remind that previous season representatives of alpine skiing federations visited training centers in Siberia and Kamchatka.
