Benselin joins Australian team
Former Swiss SBX Head Coach Harald Benselin has just announced that he will team up with the Australian SBX World Cup squad from November on.

After being contacted by National Head Coach Ben Wordsworth and the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA) six weeks ago, both sides quickly came out successfully of the contract negotiations.

The Belgian who had coached the Swiss roster for 13 years and therefore was responsible for a lot of good results at major events such as Tanja Frieden's Olympic gold medal at the 2006 Winter Games in Torino or Olivia Nobs' bronze in 2010 with many world championships medals of his athletes not listed here is know aiming to bring in his experience to a successful Australian road to PyeongChang.

“I now have a great chance to share, to learn and to give all my knowledge to one of the best teams on tour with the main goal being Korea 2018.

We want to have the best riders over there and bring home podium results. This is what I will work for,” said Benselin.

Besides this ambitious aim, the 44-year-old Bruxelles born is just happy to be back on the World Cup circuit: “It’s a great chance to do what I love and having a new challenge is just perfect!

Beside that we have a great calendar this winter with many races. This winter looks fascinating.”
