Czech top Cross-Country Skier Eva Vrabcova Nyvltova has decided to have a break from Cross-Country Skiing to fully focus on athletics, having the marathon at the Olympic Games in Rio as a primary objective.
Vrabcova Nyvltova took part in three Olympic Winter Games. In Sochi she finished 5th in 30 km free technique. She would like to follow Czech Cross-Country Skiing legend Katerina Neumannova and qualify also for the summer Games.
“It’s great challenge and motivation, therefore I decided to focus fully on athletics. I agreed with the Czech Ski Association that I am going to skip next season,” Nyvltova said. She is going to attempt meet the qualification limit already on 8th May at the Prague Marathon.
