Next to Austrian team’s traditional season opening at the Stanglwirt in Tyrol, the team also presented a slightly changed training group structure to deal with the high number of athletes: next to the two existing training groups with World Cup and COC athletes, a third training group has been founded and will have a more regional focus. 

Coach veteran Günther Chromecek will take care of the athletes based in and around Ramsau am Dachstein: Philipp Orter, Bernhard Flaschberger, Paul Gerstgraser, Philipp Kreuzer and Thomas Jöbstl. This new training group will meet for a first training camp next week.

Head coach Christoph Eugen and his group of athletes focussed on the annual fitness tests which were conduced at the hospital in St. Johann and on extensive planning and analysis meetings in which strategies for each athlete were developed. Power training sessions completed the first meetings after the off-season break.
