Ski and snowboard big air inspection in Milano

FIS Freestyle Skiing Coordinator Joseph Fitzgerald and FIS Snowboard Assistant Race Director Roberto Moresi were in Milano (ITA) this week to inspect the site of the ski and snowboard big air FIS World Cup to be held on 11th November 2016.

The event will take place at the site that hosted the ‘Expo 2015’ last year.

The FIS Officials met with the Organising Committee from Valmalenco which is responsible for staging the event, delegates from the Expo site, Infront Sports & Media, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and TechnoAlpin snowmaking.

Upon his return, Moresi said: “This is an extraordinary place where the world has met for the famous Expo last year. The world will meet there again in November 2016 for thrilling FIS World Cup big air events.”

Joseph Fitzgerald added: “We have had such great Organisers in Valmalenco for FIS World Cups and Junior World Championships and it's nice to see that they have a dream to present a big air World Cup in Milano. This setting is fantastic and it's sure to be a great show.”
