The coming snowboard and freestyle skiing World Cup competitions at Sierra Nevada are considered to attract the biggest number of spectators.

On 22-26 March, the combined freestyle skiing and snowboard event, final of the World Cup, will be held at Sierra-Nevada (SPA). It will be the third most significant competition of the year after the World Championships and Sochi World Cup test event.

The Press Office of the Russian Ski Association gives some detailed information about the event.

500 athletes will represent 42 countries. The overall number of participants - athletes, coaches and technical delegates - is more than 1 thousand. US and Canada delegations are about to become the most numerous ones: 100 representatives each.

At the presentation of the event which took place at Granada, the Adviser of the Government of Andalusia, Luciano Alonso stated that "Sierra Nevada "bets" for the new freestyle skiing disciplines, especially those of them, which can attract more youngsters". More than 140 TV-channels all over the world will broadcast the competitions.
