Two-time Olympic Cross-Country Skiing champion Claudia Nystad took part in competitions for the first time after her announcement of comeback. 

She won two Skadi Bodenmais Loppet marathon races at Bayern. First Nystad won the 30 km race (FT) and 24 km race (CT).

The 35-year old German said that her main goal is to become a part of the Olympic team squad and participate at Sochi.
