Injury update from Val d'Isère
Austria's Stefanie Moser picked up a knee injury while crashing in the downhill training run on Friday. The 26-year-old was transferred back to Austria for further medical examinations. The MRI revealed a rupture of the interior ligament in her right knee. Moser underwent successful surgery on Saturday and the recover time is expected to be between six and eight weeks.

The downhill race on Saturday saw six racers crash. Among them, Slovenia's Marusa Ferk was transported to hospital in Chambery. The all-round athlete suffered a broken fibula in her right leg and underwent surgery. Norway's Lotte Smiseth Sejersted had a spectacular crash at high speed into the safety nets. The 23-year-old luckily only sustained some superficial scratches on her face and a mild concussion. Smiseth had to sit out the super-G on Sunday.
