Infront secures comprehensive media rights agreements for FIS flagship events with ORF
The international sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media has secured a number of comprehensive media rights agreements with Austrian public service national broadcaster ORF. The extended and expanded partnership covers a number of key flagship FIS events over the coming years, including the 2019 and 2021 FIS Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships, as well as the annual FIS Ski World Cups in Alpine, Nordic and Freestyle skiing as well as Snowboard.

The 2019 Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships will be staged respectively in Åre (SWE) and Seefeld (AUT). ORF will provide exclusive live/delayed, highlights and news coverage across TV, online and mobile platforms nationwide for the Men’s and Ladies’ Alpine, Cross-Country and Ski Jumping races as well as for the Men’s Nordic Combined races. The new agreement also covers the 2021 FIS World Alpine and Nordic Championships for which the Organisers will be elected in spring 2016.

In addition, ORF has renewed its existing media rights agreement for another FIS World Cup cycle, which covers the equivalent disciplines as mentioned above, the men’s and ladies’ Snowboard and Freestyle competitions, as well as the FIS Official World Cup magazine programmes. The annual FIS World Cups stretch across the entire winter sports season – starting in October with the finals carried out in March.
