Following a meeting of the SportAccord Council on Monday, 15th June 2015, the Council confirmed that FIS President Gian Franco Kasper, Senior Vice-President of SportAccord, will exercise the function of an ad-hoc interim chairman of the Council until a new President is elected at an Extraordinary General Assembly.

The date of the Assembly will be communicated in due course and will in principle take place in conjunction with the International Federation (IF) Forum in November 2015.
