General Assemblies of ÖSV and Swiss-Ski
Seefeld (AUT) was the site of the 80th Annual General Assembly of the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) on 26th June 2015.

While the gathering focused on the reports by the President and representatives of each major department, several successful athletes and long-serving officials received awards.

The honoured athletes included Eva-Maria Brem, Anna Fenninger, Marcel Hirscher, Nicole Hosp, Michaela Kirchgasser, Christoph Nösig, Hannes Reichelt and Philipp Schörghofer from Alpine Skiing, Andrea Limbacher from ski cross, as well as the successful ski jumpers Michael Hayböck, Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, Stefan Kraft, Manuel Poppinger and Gregor Schlierenzauer. Bernhard Gruber was honoured for his achievements in Nordic Combined, while Julia Dujmovits, Anna Gasser, Benjamin Karl, Marion Kreiner and Claudia Riegler were recognised in Snowboard, and Klaus Schrottshammer in Speed Skiing.

During the Assembly, President Peter Schröcksnadel provided a review of the highly successful World Championship season for Austrian Ski Team, followed by a briefing on the status of the 2016 FIS Ski Flying World Championships in Kulm.

Swiss-Ski

Lenk in the canton of Bern was the setting of the 111th annual meeting of Swiss-Ski last weekend.

During the Assembly, President Urs Lehman reported on a successful year for the association, from both sports and financial perspectives. With 78 World Cup podium results, and 18 World Championship medals, the season was a positive one. In addition, financial statements reported a surplus of CHF 104,764.

The annual meeting was enriched by the appointment of honorary members including top alpine skiers Didier Défago, Dominique Gisin and Silvan Zurbriggen.

Furthermore, the following athletes were honoured for their achievements: Patrick Küng, Beat Feuz, Marianne Abderhalden and Nadja Jnglin-Kamer from Alpine Skiing, Fabian Bösch, Yannic Lerjen, Mirjam Jäger and Nils Lauper from Freestyle Skiing, Elena Könz and Julie Zogg from Snowboard, and Nicolas Michel and Simone Oehrli from Telemark.
