Due to the wind situation, the first Individual Gundersen competition of the weekend in Ruka had to be cancelled. The wind conditions proved to be unstable since early morning and did not allow safe jumping.

Race Director Lasse Ottesen: "Unfortunately today’s opening event in Ruka had to be cancelled. Since 8 o'clock this morning we have tried to complete a training and a competition round but the wind was simply too strong. We are looking forward to the second competition day tomorrow and hope that we can complete one Individual Gundersen event."
