In his capacity as President of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), FIS President Gian Franco Kasper attended the Olympic Summit of the International Olympic Committee on 21^st June 2016 in Lausanne (SUI).

Ahead of the Olympic Games Rio 2016, the Summit coordinated and harmonised the approach among the International Federations, which make the first decision on the eligibility of athletes with respect to qualification for and participation in the Olympic Games.

The summit concluded with a five-point plan to ensure a level playing field for athletes at the Olympic Games Rio 2016.
