Countdown to Lahti 2017 and Sierra Nevada 2017

Next Wednesday, 22nd February 2017, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships presented by Stora Enso will get underway in Lahti (FIN) with the Opening Ceremony kicking off 12 days of action, featuring 21 medal events. The event will also mark the first official celebration of the 100thanniversary of the independence of Finland.

150,000 tickets have been sold so far and due to the high demand, the stadium grandstands have added another 3,000 seats. Interest in VIP tickets has also been high, reflected by large interest from companies which are taking advantage of the Championships to recognise employees and provide hospitality to important clients.

Some further tickets are still available here.

Meanwhile, the Championships will be supported by nearly 50 Finnish and international partners. In total, 32 commercial partnership agreements have been concluded across a number of areas ranging from catering to construction.
