Positive snow control for Ramsau am Dachstein

The good winter conditions of the 2017/18 season continue. Austrian Snow Controller Robert Krautgartner gave the green light for the events from the 15h till 17th of December.

As of now, the inrun is an ice block with the cooling system working perfectly and the inrun track already set. The landing slope and outrun are prepared with 30-35 cm of artificial snow with an additional cover of 15-20 cm of natural from the most recent snowfalls. The snow mix is compact and hard.

The course and stadium are prepared with 40-45 cm of artificial snow and also mixed with the additional 15-20 cm of natural snow. The course is compact and hard as well.

Training activity in Ramsau am Dachstein has already been going on for two weeks and on this weekend, a first national competition will take place at the facilities. A snow depot close to the ski jumping hill provides additional backup, should the conditions change in the remaining week.
