FIS Calendar Conference in full swing

The FIS Calendar Conference, which takes place in the spring of non-Congress years, has been in full swing in Cavtat-Dubrovnik (CRO) since Tuesday, 28thof May. More than 900 delegates representing the National Ski Associations, Organisers, Ski Industry and the Media are expected to converge on the meeting venue, Hotel Croatia for more than 70 meetings taking place during the course of the week.

Represented by President Miho Glavić and Director Vedran Pavlek, and the Croatian National Tourist Board Director Kristjan Staničić, the Croatian Ski Association will officially welcome all delegates at the traditional Welcome Evening on Wednesday night, with the flurry of meeting activities already in full swing.

While Tuesday’s schedule featured meetings of the Alpine Executive Board, the Committee for Public Relations & Mass Media, the Medical Committee and the Nordic Coordination Group, just to name a few, Wednesday is the busiest day with 30 meetings scheduled. 

The Technical Committee meetings will wrap up on Friday, enabling Saturday to be reserved for the meeting of the FIS President’s Conference. The Calendar Conference will conclude on Sunday 2ndJune, when the FIS Council holds its semi-annual meeting to go over the various proposals and recommendations from the FIS Committees.
