This morning the Italian portal Salto.bz reported that Italian tech specialist Manfred Moelgg suffered a serious injury during Tuesday’s dryland training session.

According to the first report, the 32 years old triple World Championships medalist injured his Achilles' tendon while performing a jump during training. After a first assessment, it seems that Moelgg will have to put on hold indefinitely his preparation and might even have to miss the whole 2014/15 season.

Under the supervision of the FISI medical team, Moelgg was scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday at the hospital in Brunico.
