Cross-Country Technical Delegates seminar in Seefeld
Last weekend, FIS organised a Cross-Country seminar for Technical Delegates of Alpine Cup Countries (OPA) in Seefeld (AUT), the host of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019. 56 participants from nine countries took part in the seminar which was led by Karl-Heinz Lickert, Chairman of the FIS Sub-Committee for Cross-Country Rules and Control.
Lickert and other Cross-Country Skiing experts updated the Technical Delegates and participants about the most significant rules updates and changes for the upcoming season. For the first time, the exam for the FIS Technical Delegates candidates was carried out in the format of a workshop. Six candidates for Technical Delegates passed the exam and eight new participants were registered as candidates to start the two-year long education process.
A similar seminar for Scandinavian countries will take place later this autumn.
