History has been made by accepting four new races as Associate Members to the Worldloppet Ski Federation.

A season 2013/14 final report by Repucom summarising the TV coverage of the Cross-Country, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard FIS World Cups showed that the overall total broadcasting time amounted to almost 7’500 hours.

The 49th International Ski Congress in Barcelona (SPA) from 1st to 6th June 2014 was attended by 1’150 participants.

At the first Meeting of the newly-elected Council in Barcelona (SPA) on 6th June 2014, the Council elected four Vice-Presidents of the International Ski Federation.

On Friday, 5th June the FIS Congress (General Assembly) will take place.

The final push is on for the seven candidates to host the FIS World Championships in 2018/2019. Four Nordic, two Alpine and one Freestyle Skiing/Snowboarding Candidates made their final presentations to the FIS Council on 3rd June 2014.
