Didier Defago finds a new role
With his retirement from the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in March, Didier Defago (SUI) is moving onto a new role in the skiing world.

It was announced today that Defago will work as the assistant of Bernhard Russi, in his capacity as designer of Alpine Skiing courses, to work on new projects in order to make more attractive and safer ski courses.

Russi, a former Olympic Champion, has been the course designer for some of the most famous Olympic and World Cup slopes, including the course used at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. He is also Chairman of the FIS Alpine Committee.

Defago and Russi recently went to Korea to visit Jonsgseon the site of the new Alpine Skiing courses where the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang will take place, together with the FIS Race Directors official inspection.
