Norwegian Ski Federation has selected 24 athletes for the 2015/2016 season Cross-Country elite teams.
"We started the work already during the World Championships in Falun. We decided early on maximum number of skiers to be around 25. Season scheme is being built on much of the same successful formula as in the previous years," head coach Vidar Løfshus says.
On the men's side, 14 athletes were selected out whom six are sprinters and eight allround. Ten athletes were taken for the women's national team.
"The challenge has been to put together the best training groups in the men. We have spent time discussing and thinking to managed and achieve the best ability. It is about finding out that training program tailored to each athlete best," Løfshus explains.
Last season sprinters showed very good allround skills. Half of the team claimed top positions in various distance races in the winter.
