Cross-Country skiers have kicked off training season

Less than two months after the FIS Cross-Country World Cup season 2015/16 presented by Viessmann concluded in Canada, the world’s best cross-country skiers have returned to training for next season including its major highlight, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti (FIN).

Below is an overview of how national teams have started their #roadtoLahti2017.

Norway

Team Norway has started its training season in Oslo. A camp on snow in Sognefjellet is scheduled for the end of May.

Sweden

The Swedish ladies’ team kicked off training in Meråker (NOR) where its new coach Ole Morten Iversen is based. The men’s team met in Stekenjokk (SWE) for a four-day skiing camp and has moved on to Sollefteå for five more days of training.

USA

The U.S. Cross-Country Team has started training in Bend, Oregon at Mt. Bachelor which boasts 20 km of groomed cross-country trails featuring great conditions for on-snow training. Afternoon sessions are reserved for running, mountain biking, and lifting.
