On his home hill he was already clearly in the lead after the first round with 114.5 m. In the final, during which the inrun gate had to be changed various times due to the wind conditions, he then jumped on 112 m from a lower gate then the rest of the field and captured the win with a total of 286.1 points.

The double win for the Prevc family was secured by Peter's younger brother Cene, who came in second (106.5 m and 114.5 m; 256.0 points). Only 0.2 points behind the 18-year-old, Andraz Pograjc finished third with 105.5 m and 112.5 m.

Behind the best German, Daniel Wenig, in seventh, Jure Sinkovec completed the outstanding result of the Slovenes with his eighth place in his first international competition after a long break due to injury.
