Mattia Pellegrin (ITA) and Linn Soemskar (SWE) dominated the Uphill World Cup competition
The final FIS Rollerski World Cup stage opened up in Val di Fiemme – Trentino on Friday afternoon.

Italy's Mattia Pellegrin won, quite unexpectedly, the Senior Uphill Classic competition ahead of the favorite Marcus Johansson of Sweden. Linn Soemskar grabbed the victory among women, while Russian Polina Soskova and Swede Alfred Buskqvist have won the Junior race.

Pellegrin finished the 10,4 km long uphill competition 30 seconds ahead of Johansson while Russia's Anton Shatagin stepped in for third.

On the ladies' side, Soemskar showed impressive skills since the very beginning and recorded the best all the intermediate times from the little town of Ziano di Fiemme up to Bellamonte where the finish line was set. The Swede crossed the line ahead of Russian Tatjana Jambaeva and Elin Mohlin of Sweden. Provisional World Cup leader Konokhova (RUS) finished in sixth place but still sits atop female standings.

In Junior category, Buskqvist managed to keep back countryman Fredriksson, while Soskova of Russia stepped in ahead of home athletes Defrancesco and Ganz.
