Eduard Torok and Dana Haralambie win at Romanian Nationals
Eduard Torok was the best jumper at the Romanian National Championships last weekend in Rasnov.
The only 17-year-old local hero took the title of the HS 100 with his jumps on 94.5 m and 97.5 m and a total of 256.0 points. Iulian Pitea finished second with 89 m and 92.5 m (232.0 points). The third place went to Sorin Mitrofan with 225.5 points (89.5 m and 90.5 m).
A day earlier Eduard Torok also won the Junior's competition on the HS 71. With 68.5 m and 67.5 m and 250.2 points he came in clearly ahead of Iulian Pitea (65.5 m and 64.5 m; 233.3 points) and Robert Buzescu (64 m and 63.5 m; 223.8 points).
CSS Dinamo Brasnov, with Radu Pacurar, Eduard Torok and Iulian Pitea dominated the team competition with 681.8 points and won ahead of CSS Brasovia (Sorin Mitrofan, Stefan Blega, Robert Buzescu; 583.3 points) and CS Dinamo (Hunor Farkas, Alexandru Mocanita, Robert Tatu; 581.5 points).
The win in the mixed team competition went to CSS Brasovia I (Carina Militaru, Stefan Blega, Bianca Stefanuta, Robert Buzescu; 808.9 points), second and third were the teams of CS Sacele (Andreea Sipos, Andrei Feldorean, Dana Haralambie, Mihnea Spulber; 692.9 points) and CSS Brasovia II (Diana Trambitas, Ovidu Baila, Iulia Stefan, Sorin Mitrofan; 663.3 points).
Dana Haralambie won the ladies' title with 61.5 m and 63 m and 214.1 points, followed by Carina Militaru (56.5 m and 57.5 m; 185.4 points) and Bianca Stefanuta (54.5 m and 54.5 m; 170.4 points).
