Big opening weekends in Norway and Sweden
With the start of the FIS World Cup 2014-15 season just 9 days away many National ski teams will get their competitive seasons started this coming weekend.

The Swedish National team will start their year in Bruksvallarna, SWE where over 1000 athletes are registered to compete over the three days of events. The action will begin with 5/10 km classic competitions on Friday.

Also in Sweden are the National teams of Canada, Czech Republic and several Russian athletes in the hometown of Marcus Hellner in Gallivare. The competitions get underway on Saturday and Sunday in the same schedule at the Ruka World Cup opening with a classic sprint and classic 10/15 km events. More information available HERE.

In Norway the traditional opening weekend will take place in Beitostolen. Like Bruksvallarna, it will be a 3-day competition schedule with 10/15 km events on Saturday and Sunday starting with classic. A classic sprint will wrap up the competitions on Sunday.
