With the year 2016 slowly approaching its end we want to look back on some facts and highlights in Ladies Ski Jumping in 2016. Ofcourse, the outstanding athlete was once again Sara Takanashi.

The replacement race from the cancelled GS in Courchevel was held in Semmering on Tuesday to the delight of the Austrian crowd in attendance. An exciting opening run had athletes continuing to come down with the lead, one besting the next even outside the top seed.

The Christmas break is already over again: Nine days after the World Cup, Engelberg (SUI) now hosts a Ski Jumping Continental Cup event. On Tuesday evening, the first of two competitions there became a duel of the teams from Norway and Slovenia.

With only hours left until the start of the 11th edition of the Viessmann FIS Tour de Ski all Tour organisers report good snow conditions. The competition programme of the Tour will be carried out as planned.
