



The countdown clock for the 2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships presented by Stora Enso officially went under the one-year mark on Monday, the day after the successful conclusion of the FIS World Cup and pre-FIS Nordic World Ski Championships event, that saw an impressive 10 competitions staged over three action-packed days.

As is to be expected, the test event snowboard cross course for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games is at times big and imposing, at other times tricky and technical, and all throughout a true challenge for the men and ladies’ of the FIS SBX World Cup tour.

On 19 June 2015, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (“CAS”) upheld the appeal of Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson, competing under the name Vanessa Vanakorn (“Ms. Vanakorn”), against the decision of the Federation Internationale de Ski (“FIS”) Hearing Panel dated 6 November 2014 (“the CAS Decision”).



The Audi FIS World Cup City Event in Stockholm provided countless fireworks as the top 16 men and ladies’ battled it out on the slalom course on Hammarby hill overlooking the city. In the end, Marcel Hirscher (AUT) and Wendy Holdener (SUI) came away with the crowns, but host Sweden could hold its head high after an excellent performance.
