RUKA – The 2014/15 moguls World Cup season opened in spectacular fashion on Saturday, with a wild and unpredictable dual moguls competition in Ruka, Finland. 

Early bird prices for the 43rd Tartu Maraton are available untilt the 12th of December. Also, those who registered for previous winter's Tartu Maraton which was cancelled, can claim their 25% discount only until this Friday. 

It’s the second weekend of December soon and now, shortly after the World Cup Opening, the Nordic Combined Continental Cup also gets underway with the by now traditional Opening at Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow. 

The Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined World Cup competitions in Liberec (CZE) which were set to take place on the 7th and 8th of February 2015 had to be cancelled for organisational reasons. 

This is to inform you that the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup in Innichen (ITA), 19.-21.12.2014 has been cancelled due to the weather conditions which has prevented enough snow accumulation for the course to be prepared.

The Continental Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER), that should have taken place there next weekend, was canceled due to a lack of snow and the unfavourable weather forecast. 

On 9th December, the IOC Session approved a proposal from the IOC Executive Board, in consultation with the IOC Nominations Commission, for the extension of the term of IOC membership for FIS President Gian Franco Kasper until the end of his term of presidency in June 2018. 

With much of Central Europe seeing the arrival of winter and snow only today, many of the World Cup races across all disciplines have been moved to other locations and/or dates. Below is an overview of the changes announced in the last week.
