FIS alpine committee updates

The traditional FIS Autumn meetings were held last week in Zurich as an occasion for the various alpine sub-committees and working groups to meet and finalise preparations for the upcoming season.

On 29th September 2017, the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA published the 2018 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods. The List comes into force on 1st January 2018.


15th FIS Youth and Children’s Seminar largest to date

The 15th edition of the Youth and Children’s Seminar on 4th October in Zurich (SUI) was the largest to date with 137 attendees from 51 countries.

With the turn of the calendar to October along with the conclusion of the Southern Hemisphere season and the autumn chill in the air, it can only mean that it is time for us to turn our attention to the slopes and the start of the FIS Nordic and Alpine Ski World Cup seasons.

Stefan Hula wins the qualification in Hinzenbach

Stefan Hula of Poland won the qualification for the second-to-last competition of the FIS Grand Prix 2017.
COC: Joachim Hauer takes his first win

Joachim Hauer of Norway took the win in the first competition at the Continental Cup in Klingenthal (GER) on Saturday.
