Season over for Matthias Mayer

Unfortunately, Matthias Mayer’s injuries following his crash during the Downhill in Val Gardena / Gröden, are more serious than originally expected. Further examinations in Innsbruck revealed a fracture of the 6th and 7th thoracic vertebra. Mayer underwent surgery on 19th December to bolt together the 5th to 8th vertebras.
Parallel Giant Slalom has dream debut

The debut of the parallel giant slalom at the Audi FIS World Cup ended in grand fashion with Norwegian teammates Kjetil Jansrud and Aksel Lund Svindal dueling in the final run. In the end, it was Jansrud’s turn to shine as he edged Svindal across the finish line in the big final.
OPA: Double victory for Vinzenz Geiger in Seefeld

Klingenthal cancelled due to lack of snow

What some feared already became sad reality this morning. Snow Controller Rudi Tusch had to cancel the Nordic Combined World Cup events in Klingenthal which were set for the second and third of January 2016 due to lack of snow.

Limbacher and Oehling Norberg head into holiday break with wins in Italy

In what was likely the most dramatic, thrilling competition seen in the seven-year history of the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup Innichen/San Candido, reigning world champion Andrea Limbacher (AUT) and the resurgent Victor Oehling Norberg (SWE) were able to stand tall at the end of an exhausting weekend and claim the respective ladies' and men's victories on Sunday.

Peter Prevc continues his winning streak

Prevc said afterwards: “It's a great feeling to win two competitions within 24 hours on the same hill. I already felt during the flight that it would be a long jump, but I didn't really realize it until I saw the numbers on the display.
