Gregor Schlierenzauer will not participate in the next two World Cup competitions in Kuusamo (FIN) on Friday and Saturday. His place on the Austrian team will be taken by Florian Altenburger.

Green light for season-opening Audi ski cross World Cup in Montafon (AUT)

Last week FIS officials visited the location of the season-opening competition of the 2015/16 Audi ski cross World Cup season and confirmed a positive snow control assessment, with FIS ski cross race director Martin Fiala reporting, "The snow situation is not perfect at this moment, but all reviewed mid-term weather forecasts though the coming week show cold temperatures and significant snowfall.
Germany takes home win in season opener

The German team won the first competition of the new World Cup season. Overall World Cup winner Severin Freund, the team Olympic champions Andreas Wellinger and Andreas Wank and local hero Richard Freitag, scored 1021.9 points and took the win ahead of Slovenia and Austria.
First win in the World Cup for Daniel Andre Tande

Daniel Andre Tande won the this World Cup season's first individual competition. The 21-year-old took the win in Klingenthal with jumps on 142 m and 140.5 m and 268.7 points, followed by Peter Prevc and Severin Freund.

Kalla and Northug Jr strong in Bruksvallarna opener

Charlotte Kalla and Petter Northug Jr were clear winners in today's 5/10 km classic competition in Bruksvallarna, Sweden. This was the first day of three days of competition in Bruksvallarna. Athletes will compete in the 10/15 free technique on Saturday 21.11 and a sprint F on Sunday 22.11.
