Italy's Francesco De Fabiani has won his first World Cup with his victory in the 15 km classic interval start in Lahti, Finland

Trondheim will enter the Nordic Combined history books as the first organiser to host a winter FIS Youth Cup in Nordic Combined. In addition, it will also host the first-ever international competitions for Ladies Nordic Combined on snow.

It's a huge final week of the 2014/15 World Cup season for FIS Freestyle this week, with halfpipe, ski cross, moguls, and slopestyle competitions all set to take place between now and next Monday.

Marit Bjoergen and Eirik Brandsdal of Norway have won the free technique sprint competition at the 90th Lahti Ski Games. For Bjoergen it was her 40th World Cup sprint victory.

Only two weeks after the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, the cradle of Nordic skiing – the Holmenkollen – is ready to host the Nordic family. From 14th March – 15th March, the athletes from all three Nordic disciplines will return to Oslo.

The second-to-last event of the FIS Snowboard Alpine Snowboard World Cup season takes place on Saturday, March 7th, with the world's best raceboarders taking over one of the world's great capitals for a city event under the lights. In Moscow, Russia, a parallel slalom will be staged on a purpose-built massive ramp.
