After a 16 years break, this weekend the men’s World Cup circuit will make a comeback in Saalbach, Austria with a downhill and super-G race scheduled for the weekend.

Germany’s Johannes Rydzek picked up his first-ever gold medal at a Nordic World Ski Championships as he topped a competitive field in today’s 10 km Individual Gundersen.

A year after she won Olympic Gold, Carina Vogt now also took the title at the World Championships. On the normal hill in Falun (SWE) the German won ahead of Yuki Ito and top favorite Daniela Iraschko-Stolz. Like in Sochi, Sara Takanashi came in only fourth.

The Audi ski cross World Cup has finally arrived in Tegernsee, Germany, after a tense waiting period following a rescheduling of the event from the final week of January to this upcoming weekend.
Kofler and Eisenbichler miss first competition

It is now official who will get the chance to compete in the qualification for the normal hill competition on Friday, and who won't. Austrian Andreas Kofler and, surprisingly, also Germany's Markus Eisenbichler are among those who will not take part in the first competition of the WSC.
