


One of the best German Cross-Country Skiing sprinters Hanna Kolb announced the end of her skiing career.

The Styrian town of Bad Aussee hosted the 83rd General Assembly of the Austrian Ski Federation last weekend. The daytime session was dedicated to a working meeting, while the following gala evening was the chance to honour the best athletes of the season and say goodbye to those who announced their retirement.

Each year the 1stJuly sees a buzz amongst the World Snow Day Organisers as event registration for the coming edition of World Snow Day opens. In 2018, the buzz will be stronger as Organisers will be racing to be the first event to register and claim the title “Line Honors”.

The 4th of February 2019 will mark the first day of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre (SWE), the third at the Swedish venue and the 45th official FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

On the occasion of the 83rd Austrian Ski Federation country conference in Bad Aussee, the nation’s successful Olympic athletes were honoured with a gala evening, among them, the Austrian team bronze medal winners in Nordic Combined Mario Seidl, Bernhard Gruber, Willi Denifl and double bronze medallist Lukas Klapfer.
