Bjoergen makes it 4 in a row with 5 km classic victory

Norway's Marit Bjoergen has gone 4 for 4 with her victory today in the 5 km classic competition in the Tour de Ski. With her win here today in Toblach, Italy she has increased her overall lead in the Tour to 1:34.3 over her teammate Heidi Weng in second place. Therese Johaug also of Norway sits in third +2:16.5. 
Poltoranin wins stage 4 of Tour de Ski in Toblach

Alexey Poltoranin of Kazakhstan has won stage 4 of the Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy. It was Poltoranin's second stage World Cup victory here in Toblach. He also won the 5 km C in the Tour de Ski in 2013.

2 US Ski Team athletes killed in Soelden avalanche

The U.S. Ski Team is mourning the loss of two promising development level ski racers killed Tuesday in an avalanche in Soelden. The two were among a group of six athletes freeskiing at the Austrian resort. The other four skied out of the slide.
Four podium day for Canada; Kearney and Kingsbury take wins

On a chilly, overcast day at Calgary's Canada Olympic Park, the host nation had a huge day while the two top athletes in Freestyle were back to their old ways, with the Canadians scoring four podiums and Hannah Kearney (USA) and Mikael Kingsbury (CAN) stepping up to claim moguls victories in dominant fashion.

The international ski jumping family mourns the loss of Jouko "Jokkeri" Toermaenen, who passed away in the night from Friday to Saturday in Central Hospital in Rovaniemi (FIN) at age 60.

Bjoergen leads a trio of Norwegian's in Tour de Ski opening prologue

Marit Bjoergen of Norway has won everything in cross-country skiing except the Tour de Ski. She got off to a great start today in the first stage of the 9th FIS Tour de Ski presented by Craft Sportswear winning the opening prologue.
