At the most recent Executive Board meeting of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held on 9th August 2013 in Moscow (RUS), the proposed 2016 Lillehammer Winter Youth Olympic Games Programme was on the agenda. 

Preparations are quietly yet industriously progressing at POCOG, the Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang (KOR). 

On 1st July 2014 registration for the 3rd edition of World Snow Day (19th January 2014) was launched. In the short space of six weeks, 23 Organisers in 14 countries have already registered for the next event.
