On 4^th August 2016, at the 129^th IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro (BRA), FIS President Gian Franco Kasper was elected to the IOC Executive Board as the representative of the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF).

During the FIS Technical Committee Meetings from 27^th September-1^st October 2016 in Zurich (SUI), Committees from the various FIS disciplines will meet to put the final touches on the plans for the upcoming season.

On 2^nd August 2016, at the 129^th IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro (BRA), recommendations made by the YOG Tripartite Working Group – of which FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis is a member – were presented and validated unanimously by the IOC Session.
