Ruka Nordic will this year host a record number in World Cup competitions and in the number of participating nations. 

Italian hopeful Samuel Costa will not be able to go after top results in this Olympic season. The 24-year-old has been struggling with knee injuries for a long time and the process to get healthy and fully functional again did not go as planned.

FIS has received the verdicts of the IOC Disciplinary Commission in two of the six cases against Cross-Country skiers relating to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. The FIS Forum Alpinum for the 2017/18 season took place on 27^th October 2017 in Soelden (AUT) as members of the alpine ski racing community and media gathered together for the annual event. 

For the first time in recent years, a majority of members of the AIJS decided to elect an American ski star as the recipient of the ‘Skieur d’Or- AIJS Trophy Serge Lang’ Award to be presented at Soelden on Friday Oct.27th – 2017 in occasion of the Forum Alpinum to USA’s wondergirl Mikaela Shiffrin.

Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany battled back from a slight mistake in the first run to claim her first win at the Sölden FIS Audi Ski World Cup opener since 2010.

Ski Jumping took centre stage at the 4^th Coordination Group for the Seefeld 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

This season the title of World’s Largest Kids Snow programme belongs to the Canadian Ski Council for the second consecutive season as the Grade 4 and 5 Snowpass continues into the new season. 

The 4^th Coordination Group Meeting for the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships was held in Cortina d’Ampezzo (ITA) last week.
